Botox For Crow’s Feet: Does It Help?

Do the wrinkles at the edge of your eyes, which appear like a crow’s foot, bother you?

Botox is a widely accepted procedure to get rid of these wrinkles.

It is a safe and effective treatment for men and women of all ages.

However, many are worried about the unnatural-looking or frozen face after getting a Botox.

We get your concerns:

Facial expressions are the key to connection and communication with others.

Getting a Botox by an expert who understands the facial anatomy and aesthetics can help you get the desired natural-looking results.

What Are Crow’s Feet?

Crow’s feet are wrinkles at the edges of your eyes, also called laughing lines, extending out in a fan-like pattern.

While these lines accentuate your smiles and laughs, they are also an indicator of aging.

As you age, your skin loses its natural elasticity inherent to youthful skin. When you’re young, the skin stretches like rubber and moves with the facial muscles.

However, the collagen declines gradually, reducing the elasticity and stretching ability of the skin.

Excess sun exposure and smoking also increase the risk of crow’s feet.

How Does Botox work?

Botox is a muscle-relaxing procedure that smoothens out wrinkles to give you a fresh and rejuvenated look.

The injections relax the muscles around your eyes, smoothing out the skin. This effect is more appreciated when you laugh.

What to Expect?

Your provider will recommend a topical anesthetic to make the area numb. Later, they will initiate the procedure to cover the wrinkles.

It’s a relatively short procedure and takes only a few minutes.

Other procedures such as laser treatments may be combined with Botox based on your cosmetic goals.

Usually, a total of 10 units of Botox suffices for both eyes. In some cases, 24 units may be needed.

Will It Help You?

If you have laugh lines, don’t smoke, or don’t have major health conditions, Botox can help you.

It may take about three days for noticeable results. And, the results last for three to four months. You may need to take follow-up injections every few months to maintain the results.

We at Generations Medical Aesthetics are Northern Virginia’s leading skin and laser center.

Does Botox for Crow’s Feet Really Work?

Have you tried every cream, serum, and ointment to try and reduce your crow’s feet? Are you tired of paying a premium with minimal results? Botox might be a great option for you, then!

Botox for crow’s feet is an effective treatment that can last for up to four months and is cost effective.

Tell Me More – How Does Botox for Crow’s Feet Reduce Lines and Rejuvenate?

Botox is an extremely effective treatment for crow’s feet, takes only a few minutes, lasts for up to four months, and usually costs between $90 and $200 per treatment for crow’s feet. Botox injections reduce crow’s feet by relaxing the muscles around the eyes, which results in a smoother appearance.

But wait, there’s more! Botox is a safe and effective procedure that’s extremely discreet. After receiving cosmetic injections, you can go back to your normal life immediately. Just don’t rub your eyes for several days afterwards. Within three days, you should start to see results last for up to four months or potentially longer.

Amazing! What Else Should I Know?

While Botox for crow’s feet is a safe and effective treatment, you should know about potential side effects and how to extend the effective timeline. You might experience minor redness, swelling, or bruising around the eyes. However, these effects are short-lived and easy to cover up with a little makeup.

If you want to extend the effectiveness of Botox for your lines around your eyes, you can use other treatments at the same time! Laser treatments are often used jointly with Botox.

How Long Does Botox Last for Crows Feet: My Experience

If you are curious about Botox and anything like me, you have a million questions.

One of my biggest questions was “how long does Botox last for crow’s feet?

While I am generally pretty good about taking care of my skin, I have to admit that I had become more and more aware of the fine lines surrounding my eyes.

So, I decided to visit my local Botox injector to see if Botox was right for me.

Here is my experience.

My Botox Consultation

To see if Botox was the best product to treat my crow’s feet I scheduled a consultation with my doctor.

This was such a great experience and I learned all about how Botox works by targeting the muscles that cause wrinkles to form on our face.

My doctor explained that Botox simply relaxes the muscle and causes the wrinkle to disappear!

Once I was deemed an ideal candidate we scheduled my Botox appointment!

My Botox Appointment

Because I have some asymmetry on my face, I required different units of Botox on either side.

My injector injected about 18 units total into the area to give me the subtle results I wanted.

The treatment itself took about five-minutes total and barely hurt at all!

I was instructed to reduce any alcohol intake and to steer clear of anti-inflammatory medication for 24 hours and was on my way.

My Results- How Long Does Botox Last for Crow’s Feet?

I am so happy with my results as I still have movement in the area, but there is definitely a softened expression around my eyes now that I love.

I learned that Botox for crow’s feet is not permanent and have already rescheduled my return session in three months as it should wear off by that time.

Botox for Crows Feet

Botox for crow’s feet has quickly become one of the most requested treatments around the country.

However, many men and women might be nervous to have this sensitive area treated due to the fact that if all of the wrinkles are removed, you undergo the risk for looking fake and overdone.

That is why the best injectors are specially trained to provide natural-looking results for a gracefully aged appearance.

Do I Need a Consultation?

As with all cosmetic procedures, most offices do recommend scheduling a consultation to discuss your concerns and to create realistic expectations for your results.

How Long Does Botox for Crows Feet Take?

You can expect your injectable session to last around ten minutes, making it the perfect lunchtime treatment!

When Will I See Results?

Results will generally appear around one to two weeks after you are injected.

Is Botox Permanent?

Botox for crow’s feet is not permanent.

After three or four months you will need to return to your injector to have Botox reinjected into the crow’s feet area.

How Can I Enhance My Results?

Many injectors can recommend medical grade products and treatments in conjunction with your injections to enhance your results.

For example, PRP can be used to improve the appearance of fine lines around the eyes and on the eyelid.

Light treatments can help improve your recovery and doctor recommended skincare can be a great daily supplement to improve the appearance of the skin around your eyes.
